Hello all
Just got a call from the requiter saying he submitted my app to many company's and Central Refrigerated is interested in having me as part of their training program.
I have also been offered a training position with CRST from what I have seen on here the clear choose is Central.
I would like to know what to expect at orientation in salt lake city.
1. where do they put you up at?(Where do I sleep)
2. what to expect during the DOT physical and drug test? (Do they make you strip and do a cavity search) lift turn your head and cough
3. Do they feed you and if they do what.
4. Any do,s or dont's I should know about.
5. should I start studying the CDL test Know?(Or is it easy)
Thanks for all your help

Welcome from a fellow Coloradoan! I'm about 90 mins north of you near Johnson's Corner.
1. where do they put you up at?(Where do I sleep)
You will probably stay in the dorms. They are cinderblock and look like prison cells, but you won't spend much time in there anyway. Once those are full they will set some trainees up in a hotel.
2. what to expect during the DOT physical and drug test? (Do they make you strip and do a cavity search) lift turn your head and cough
Pretty standard physical, no searches except you have to pee in a cup.
3. Do they feed you and if they do what.
The Central Cafe is in the training building. Decent food, but the best part is the front of the truck mounted on the wall. I want one for my man cave.
4. Any do,s or dont's I should know about.
Bring any documentation they ask you to bring, including social security card and a list of prior employers. Do not show up and figure it will work out without these documents-- it won't.
5. should I start studying the CDL test Know?(Or is it easy)
There is a lot of downtime, so you should have plenty of time to study.
Thanks for all your help
Your Welcome -
That's hilarious man! I always told my wife I wanted the same thing in my man cave! I would like to incorporate the whole truck though. The front seats would be for watching movies out of the windshield complete with surround sound and the back half of the truck would actually be like a spare bedroom. I thought of doing this a while back ago mainly because you always sleep so good in a big truck! So I thought why not set one up in the house like a spare bedroom. Then when the wifey gets mad and kicks me out of the bed and can go to my man cave and sleep in my truck! Also thought of buying an old truck to be buried in when I die. Nothin like a W900 coffin!

LOL - I don't beetch often, but when I want to, I will - just cause I can

It sucks though having to wait - AND it doesn't pay the bills!! Now that we are leashed I feel it a bit more when we don't move... but leashing is what we decided to do, so here we are. We are moving again, so I'm in a better mood now

Why did you have to sit... because of winds????

Not what Klingon told me...
