I've got the strong legs, just don't have any upper body strength- like most ladies. Technique is very very important. It helped me get that box up there twice.

One of my friends made the comment that he couldn't believe I failed a physical fitness test since I'm one of the fittest drivers out here. But it's not really fitness they are testing, it's strength. If they just wanted me to go run around the block a few times, I'd be employed by Crete right now.

 

This is true. If that was the test, a lot of drivers wouldn't be employed.

 

just wondering if anyone started and finished with two different trainers or requested another one and if so how did it go?

 

I am not really sure why we test here anyway...unless it's a Cretin stress test. I've been here almost 8 years, and have never been forced, coersed or even mildly pressured into doing anything physically demanding(other than carrying this big honking chip on my shoulder) I have NEVER had them blink at the cost of a lumper. I have assisted on occasion, but it was my choice, not being required to do it because I was obliged to...especially on the siding loads. It just made sense to help, so I could get rolling quicker. That is one thing I cannot complain about here at Happy Horsepuckey Trucking....er I mean Creaffer.

 

I started with a Crete trainer, but he had vacation coming up...so he had me a month then went on his vacation. I waited for a week or so and got another trainer that was with Shaffer. I was with him a month also. It went fine and I got some reefer experience(no, not that ) so it worked out just fine.

The only hangup was getting to Lincoln to get my truck. We were in Baytown, TX waiting for a load when my 2 months were up...so since Crete couldnt find anything going up north, they rented me a car to drive from Baytown up to Lincoln. Said they'd pay for the gas, but guess what? Someone dropped the ball and I never got reimbursed because "someone" never got the reciepts I hand delivered IN PERSON.

 

I have got a question about the insurance with Crete. I hope to be cleared by the doctor on Nov. 28th. That would be the day I would report to orientation in Lenoir City Tn. So if that was my first day then when would I officially be hired? I hope it would be before Dec. 1st. That way I could start my insurance on Jan 1. If not then I would have to wait til Feb 1 because of the 30 days before the insurance kicks in. That is of course if I pass the road test and the pre-work screen and dot physical. Thanks.

 

It use to be 90 days before insurance kicked in, after you completed your full orientation...not sure if they've changed it or not.

 

This is sweetdaddy915 an I confirm what supersnackbar sayn the miles tht guy posted r bak when the gettn was good cuz I startd bout the time his paystub year was 4 an it was great back then 4 digit loads all the time hittn up cally or. Oregon washington then come back in now after the bankn deal in 08,09 it got real scary real quik ihavent, an also tht was when they cutt da trukz bak 2 62 an I noticed alot mo effort in make timelines after tht an 2 the present butt 4 all its worth iaint got up 2 payscale versus yrs. Cuz of medical time off in 09-10 i used up all my fmla & vac. I couldnt get the miles been down so longThen had been thru so many trukz due 2 medical an brkdown its been hard butt i wont quit I love the job an bennyz butt my terminal manager left so if newbee is an ahole I go adios chupas. The truks r nice trlr ok jus wishd they'd gobak 2 the 65mph it seemed alot eazyr 2 get trips thru I ain't gunn uh lie either tho I bee look N around @ other places cuz I gotta protect myself butt I think all an all they r like other companiez the profit is business an if mix the 2 up u r knot wise I will say I hear of many more horror stories bout other companies an we really gott it pretty good an 2 all the crete an shaffer drivers #####n an whine an cryn leave an go work sum where else if itz so bad u knw u never hear whine bout there czech the gett so just bee certain no company is perfect there are on perfect drivers, if u do what me an supersnackbar do u will make an eazy 1,000-1,300 a wk get medical,dental,vision,ret. 401k , profit sharing, additional accidental critical insurance an additional life ins. U get 1 wk. Vac after 1 yr. 2 wk. After 2 yr an the 3 wk. Is a ways out butt all thts pretty #### good where I come from so you bee the judge truk 31934
