Two truckers fighting on the CB pulled over at the I-75 KY/TN rest area to settle their differences. After one hit the other with a stick. The other pulled out a pistol and shot the other.

There was a similar incident at the same rest area about five years ago when one trucker fataly shot the other.

My thoughts, first it's childish to get in a CB fight when you have an on/off switch. Carrying the gun enticed the one driver thinking he was tougher and will win this fight. Had he not been carrying, most likely he would of kept on driving. This is irresponsible gun ownership. People like this don't have the temperment to drive a truck.

Great, now they're gonna make it illegal to have a gun in a commercial vehicle.

    I agree...

Obviously the guy with the gun hadn't the mental fortitued or maturity to carry a gun..

This is not cobs and robbers, or cowboy and indians...type of games you played as a kid...

It's not a cap gun either...

it's a real gun that he had, with real consequences when fired...

Nor is this the wild west...your gun is for personal protection, it's not to be used to amplify your might in a childish brawl....

This adult male, driving that truck, had a 12 year old mentality...

'Oh ye, well I'll show you', type of mindset...

I wonder how many others are out there, carrying, with that kind of mindset?

Whats the problem? Ones weapon of choice is a stick, that is used first, and the others weapon of choice is a gun, that was used after he was hit by a stick.
The part about fighting on the CB is what made this story childish.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25526:

I can't believe they let him go and didn't arrest him for shooting the other driver. You can smoke a joint and go directly to jail.

    I agree...

I mean if someone hits me with a twig....

I do not constitute that as a threat to my safety or life...

I would simply back away, probably while laughing...

Even cops are more accountable (force matrix), than this deranged driver...

Now he thinks he can get away with shooting someone over a silly disagreement...

Feel sorry for the next driver who takes his spot at a Pilot...

If it were up to me...he'd be in jail...

What a bunch of arm chair quarter backs LOL
    You guys were not there.
You guys don't know EXACTLY what happened.
The cops said NO CHARGES WERE RECOMMENDED but the grand jury will look at it.

Why is the shooter the bad guy?
I think its clear who was to blame and he got his and no one disagreed on scene.
