My only thought is that her husband is a trainer. If that's the case, then welcome to the industry. One-on-one interviews went bye-bye a long time ago, so a company isn't going to know if a student they just hired doesn't have all of their dogs barking. Part of your job as a trainer is to weed out these students. You get good students, and bad ones. Unfortunately, the common trend in the industry is that you get more bad students.

Hell i been applying at a dozen companies, so far, got 6 responses, 5 job offers and one rejection...and it was Schneider who rejected me lol so they don't hire just anyone. Got offered job at Central refrigerated, Cr England, Stevens, FFE and Knight Refrigerated, i even have my CDL already lol

With most OTR companies, your location dictates a hire or not moreso than your criminal, medical, and driving backrounds. Had I applied at CRE with my old address in Orlando, they wouldn't have touched me with a load lock. I applied with my new address in Indianapolis and got the "When can you start orientation?" response.

yeah maybe true, but I am up here near Seattle, they have a drop yard not far from me right now, even on their website they have postings for the Washington state area...but who knows, just found it funny that they wouldn't considering the kind of people they do hire and i have seen some in the line of work im in right now... -
We're talking about Schneider here. Schneider National. Notice (bold print in quote above) I said they alledgedly have regional divisions. Yep, I've seen the black punkin trucks that say "regional" on the door instead of the usual "national" on the orange ones. That's just a marketing ploy to fill empty seats with gullible drivers.sweetdaddy915 Thanks this. -
Tht is the truth the company I drive 4 does similiar with the reg. Drivers sendn them too utah if they run east or too chicago if they run western or toledo if they run the s.e. an then they take the xtra pay an keep it so they don't have 2 pay the national drivers there payscale its the way the industrial trucking complex workz

Schneider trained me for the grand total of $0.00 dollars. Did my year and stayed three more. You can do a lot worse but you can also do much better. They might not train anymore but they are a starter company as the mentality hasn't changed at all.
The reason I quit is because I refused to attend yet another winter training class. They were a waste of my time and every one I ever attended was prolonged because of that one idiot that thought he was funny and kept the instructor busy. The check ride portion? If you don't trust me in your truck, I don't need to be working for you.
All in all they ran me well and gave me two brand new centuries in my 4 years there but the staying out for two weeks gets real old after awhile. I hate big companies and will never drive for one again. -
sounds like hubby likes the liz's

UDPATE: My husband's partner was fired. Management finally did something right. Sorry to offend any of you...but not all SN management teams are great to work for. If you work for a good one, then you are lucky. He is looking into going solo.....too many issues with partners.

Yes, it is ALL TRUE..... his partner was fired recently, my husband recorded his twitching with his video phone. And the State Patrol filed a complaint when the partner was pulled over for causing property damage. So it was all documented. Glad you're happy.... but it will take time for Schneider to win back my confidence. He is going solo....
