POST: Only good things about USA

They added one in Atlanta. It is so small there is no place to park.

 

Yea. Its tight. Whenever I had to pick up a load there, I would drop the empty at the Conley yard. Then go pick up the loaded trailer at the new terminal. I did get parked there one time. When I woke up some bonehead was parked crossways in front of me so I couldn't leave. Its sad.

 

It's only about 5 miles.

 

The equipment is pretty good. APU's, inverters, etc.. The maintenance department has definitely improved over the years and that has to do with the CSA 2010. That's okay though. I like the DOT lanes at the terminals so they can catch an issue before we get in trouble with the DOT. The company store is pretty cool. After many years of fighting the trend, I gave up and got a GPS at an incredible discount and it was payroll deducted so no cash up front. The terminals are trying to improve. West Memphis got new washers and dryers, but it was a simple matter of days before some lunk headed driver broke one of them. It's messed up that some drivers disrespect our terminals and destroy things and make a huge mess and just leave it for the next guy to pick up. I know, I'm that next person. i can't tell you how many times I have cleaned up after the other drivers just so i dont have to sit among their garbage.
I was a trainer, at one point. It lasted all of 2 students cause I soon realized I didn't want to die. So i have HUGE respect for the men and women trainers is our company. It is a very hard, gut wrenching job and they make a difference. i make decent money. I'm not rich by any means, but i do alright. There are a lot of good things to say about USA, but i gotta get back on the grind. Good luck to you all. Be safe and God Bless!!
