Even buying one of Crete's old trucks still have limits on what you can do with it. You can install inverters and such, but they make you govern it and limit you to only working with one of their companies...so they honestly have control on how good or bad you do.

Another driver said it was closed, Tulley's is a sports bar with annoying football fans cheering and clapping.
I get the rest of the day off again, Thank god there's an Applebees next door, unless this is a dry county

Wow, that sucks, I guess I wouldn't lease from those companies. The way I see it is if I'm making the payment they can bite me as far as an inverter, fridge or microwave goes.

As long as the truck isn't governed to something foolish like 60 MPH. I guess I could live with it as long as it was governed to 65 - 70 MPH. As far as only pulling for the leased from company, that I can understand and am OK with. Once it's paid for you then have the option of pulling for anyone if you keep the truck or do like JD did and turn it back in and become a company driver or you could always lease another truck. A lease is a lot of work but you can make good money. For those of you that haven't followed this thread that long see JD's thread on the subject.

Well, got a short load from Centralia Il to Cedar Rapids. I get to centralia for pickup and they tell me there is a problem with the order. After sitting in the dock for 1.5 hrs, dispatch voids my load and tells me they cancelled my load. They offer me a wonderful 190 mile load to Hannibal MO picking up at the same place. After being here 3.5 hrs, they still haven't even started loading me. All this for 190 miles. Calgon take me away!

FYI, I did not "turn it back in". I SOLD IT. Crete does not have a lease to own option. I BOUGHT my truck through them to get their discount.

As to having the truck governd as an O/O, it's only on paper. I know O/Os leased to Crete that have very fast trucks. Doesn't pay to go fast, but they can.

Also on the inverter question, if the truck is financed through Crete (Union Bank) you are limited on what you do to physicaly alter the truck. BUT, if you finance through an outside source, or own it outright, you are free to do as you please.

Seems my party day near Kimper, KY got cut short. They asked if I wanted a load that pick upped today that delivers in Atlanta in the morning, Me Guesses the super trucker they were saving the load for over slept. So now with being dispatched late, the load is going to be late, but it's only Kelloggs. Kinda odd I ran into a driver picking up his load going to Roanoke TX for an anytime drop, He delivered after me and I just resat this weekend and no he wasn't going home, I guess poor Ryan has too difficult a job to do.
I can't see hurrying to Atlanta if they're sandbagging me like this. Hey Crete... do I have to Start a thread about my weekly miles to get some?? A 10,000 mile month would be nice

Going good at Poly. Just got back from a trip to Henderson,NV then up to Sumner,WA. Got to chain up for the first time in my 25+ years of trucking. Took me an extra day to get back due to the weather and road conditions in Oregon. Ran 4700 miles in 10.5 days (should have been 9.5). Nothing astounding but steady, and at .48 a mile and $30 a stop, I can live with that.
