i was only about 10 months into my contract, going off of when i got assigned my truck.
But C1 said my contract was already paid off. I'm actually getting back 300 bucks.
I thought they were gonna make me pay back the full 6 grand, not just the 2 grand they reduce it to after a year.

Do, I'm happy, I can just wash my hands of trucking now.

And My firing was explained better to me today. They just thought I was an unsafe driver. I had 2 backing accidents, 1 was only a month ago. And they said I had tons of hard breaking events. (I get them a lot, but its just because i'm stuck in traffic or something, not like i'm about to hit somebody) And they said my idle time was too high, when it was down around 25% a few months ago. He said I was not improving after getting councled by saftey. But all they talked about was the backing, i never had a real accident. just bone head mistakes while backing.

I had an ICON, And mine was jacked up. It would not shut the truck off after it got warm. It would just kick off the blowers, but still idle all night.
And it was not just charging the batteries, if i had that icon set, It would idle almost all night, but the heat is only blowing half the time.

Celadon bought $471 MILLION of our stock.. Cliff is in soooo much hot water with the board that I'll be surprised if he is still our President much longer.

Yeah no kidding. I was in South Holland terminal a few days ago and a guy was in there spouting off about how Celadon had just purchased a controlling share of our stock and that the hostile takeover announcement was imminent. He was telling all the other drivers that pretty much any minute the mechanics would start peeling off the USA Truck logos and start replacing them with Celadon. Well one of the mechanics had overheard him as he was coming in to get coffee and basically called him a ###### in front of everybody.

Celadon only got 6% or so just like Bearfunkey said. But Celadons foot is in the door. They also bought some of FFE.

Last I heard Celadon was weighing their options after being rebuffed by management. I do know they also bought a company in Penn several months ago. With that 6% they only need 45% more of the stock to take over operational control. I wonder if there are any behind the scenes talks with some major stockholders for more? Either way it's going to be interesting watching this develop.

this seems to be more than just a rumor. I think it has some truth.
Its just that Celadon can't get the logistics worked out. But I think that have plans to but USA in the future.
they are just trying to work out a back room deal.

They have been trying for 5 yrs to do that, they want our lanes, if the drivers in this co would just p/u and del ontime we wouldnt have to worry. Yes there are times when u cant cuz dispatch screws the pooch, but make sure u send a msg stating that u were sent a ld that is already late for p/u or del. If we make sure we hold everyone accountable for their actions we will not have to worry bout anything.
