I do believe to qualify as a FedEx driver. Must drive over the speed limit, be willing to cut people off and be the rudest driver on the road. Just my observations.

Ok, so it's not just us that have found this!
There's a few good ones, but the rest - forget it.

Fedex seems to have this rule that freight has to arrive on time no matter the circumstance whether it kills someone or not..they just don't care..

Fedex believes their freight is more important than someones life.

    sewerman Thanks this.

Freight may arrive ontime, although theres a very good chance it will be damaged.

Most of the OTR sub contractors with FXG dont speak, read or write in ENGLISH. If they do its very very poor.

Wow, there are some FedEx haters around here. As far as working for Freight: Mon-Fri schedule, home every day, great benefits, and $24 per hour or 59 cents per mile with pay for hooking and breaking sets...yeah, I guess that would suck. Those guys rarely quit, they get fired or retire.

Driving a forklift (as a driver, not a dockworker) pays the same as driving a city truck, and doing road runs pays even more.

My statement are only directed toward the ground side. I have not worked inhouse (express or freight) I have only heard good things about freight and express.

The route I have been running, for express, for a year and 3 months now, they decided that I could do twice as much in the same amount of time. That's 8 stops, 20 to 24 bulk skids, 400 to 500 pkgs, in less than 2 hours. Plus 4 of the stops had to be broken down and each piece scanned separately. This went on for 3 weeks and when the idiots finally figured out it was impossible they took me off of it completely and displaced me. They'll be sending out 2 straight trucks with it now. I'll be going from 30 hrs a week to about 18. Thanks for 4 1/2 years of service.
I have an interview with UPS tomorrow. Come on Brown! Get me out of the nut house.
