The new DEF/SCR systems that were put into place in 2010 do not cause you the issues the 2008-2009 DPF/Re-gen trucks had. They now use UREA fluid which basically is like tossing gasoline onto a fire. It does a complete burn and cleans out the chambers so you do not get the plugging up, or the flame/spark issues the older trucks were having. I think a new KW would be the way to go if you really must keep on trucking :biggrin_25525:

I stand corrected. Your (snowwy's) truck will be fine as is. Mine on the other hand (will be paid off in a few month, and will be registered in CA...) Thanks to q in sac for the correction.

For the record, I don't hate CA. I just hate the state's politics and dumb voters who keep voting in the same type of people (the same exact person in case of Gov. Moonbeam), each time expecting different result.

CARB is being sued for being discriminatory toward old style fuel producers outside the state of California.

If you do decide to go the military officer route, PM me.

I know a thing or three about that.

No matter what, get yourself out of California.

    Good comment!!!!!!

I gonna start pressing "3" ALSO.

Cant believe how many drivers out here can not read, write or speak english.

When I used to haul cars I actually had a guy at an auto auction ask me to fill out his vehicle inspection paperwork because he could not read or write english.

He thought I was insane when I told him I would do it for 150.00 per hour.........

    Sorry for the subject change.......LOL

If putting an older model engine in a new model truck is illegal......how is legal to do a glider?? I remember seeing a post where Schnider (if I remember correctly) was doing this.

I'm lost. I have an 06 Freightliner. My understanding is that I cannot enter Ca. after Dec 31, 2014. But if I register with CARB, I can get an extension?????? I lease with a company.

They are Hot and Loud. If you have a pet with you, make sure to take your pet out of the truck. Once in awhile you will get an exhaust smell in the cab
