Hope it gets fixed. Dont they realize you have not moved in a while and attempt to make contact with you on this matter?

Oh, I hear ya! I wouldn't move it unless you were going to limp to the TA. Other than that, just keep contacting them, send in as many QC's as possible letting them know where you are and that they are disabled, then just wait it out at your friends place. Definitely don't idle that thing while sitting there waiting for them. You'll be no more than a memory if you do.

I talked to my DM, who tried to call Breakdown. He couldn't reach them, either. Then He asked me to ping him by sending a qualcomm message. I sent a message with my specific location.
I called a few more times, leaving two more voicemails. Now I'm not reaching my DM and I'm not able to reach breakdown. I'm tired of sitting on the phone.
I'm eating lunch and feeling lucky that friends of mine happen to live right by my truck... what are the odds!!!??? I'm a lucky guy. My brother that I haven't seen in 5 years drove all the way down from Erie, PA to make sure I was ok and we got a motel room that's in line of sight of my truck, too.
He had to go home, though. Work today. I'm back down the road from the truck stop with my friends. I'm keeping an eye on the truck and trailer every so often. It seems to be okay at the stop, so that's great
I'm just frustrated with the Knight phone system.
I'm starting to wonder if they're just hoping I'll "abandon" the truck, even though I technically can't even drive it!!! I would happily take it to the Columbus terminal if I could. -
Thats wild that they dont have a better communication system set up. I could not image this occurring to anyone. Dont they want your wheels turning or are thy hoping the truck will fix itself?
-
Oddly no. The mega carriers have such a low cost per mile....700, 800 miles a week on average per tractor and their good. That's why they have no problem giving a driver a 300 mile load over the weekend.
YAY Knight! -
I would call whoever you have the freight for , tell them your going to be LATE , bet you hear from KNIGHT shortly after.
Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
Just read the first two pages and the last two pages of this thread... interesting to say the least. First two pages get you excited about this company and the last two put you down like most.
Good luck. -
Unfortunately that appears to be the trend too often on this thread and then they disappear entirely never to post again.

Smaggs, give O.S.H.A. a call.

O.S.H.A is just going to put him on the back burner till they get around to him.I say find the nearest officer and see what he thinks.
Jarhed1964 Thanks this.
