Any shaffer or crete drivers on rto 12? How many days home is that? Do you take a pay cut from otr to rto 12? Do you really get home every 12 days? How about miles, you stay consistent with em? I was offered a rto position today but was bummed it wasn't the rto 6.also my fleet manager informed me that there maybe changes to the home time policy does anybody know if this is true as well? thanks .

Had not heard of the rto 12. That's between home weekly and regional?
-
I think 12 is regional...which means what? Just sayin
-
According to my fleet manager rdo 12 is as follows... 12 to 14 days over the road, you earn 48 hrs home, you lose 2cpm, you still run anywhere east of the rockies, its not regional, you have your own assigned dispatcher. I guess its okay if you want to be home every 2 weeks for 2 days... but I was thinking you got more home time. give me at least, it doesn't seem like it's worth it. it looks like maybe you could be put in a position to stay out longer than 12 to 14 days.

Isn't it amazing that the company keeps pushing technology that they haven't even checked to see if it works. Got the message the other day about the guidelines and state requirements for registering your medical card with your state's DMV...the link they posted produces a blank page, and the link from the secure ess crete sight...isn't there. Then we get a message about the new safety points system, and there is a link on the ess sight...that doesn't work. Way to go Crete...could those people in IT be any more incompetent?
As for me, I managed to get thru Marietta(and didn't show up in the morning) and got their last qualcomm screen. Then got a load that delivers this weekend, and I got a 1 day extension on my requirement to get my personal info to my lawyer...so.....I will not be a guest of the state/county as of now. I didn't end up getting the best of week... 2250 miles...but hometime usually screws up at least one week. -
Don't feel bad. Started the week at Lincoln getting an A service. Turns out I needed a new DEF filter. No problem...be here in the morning. Cool.
Next morning, 0700, I check with parts. Yup...came in. Cool, I say...I pass on the info on to service. They actually acknowledge it while looking at my work order.
Then I sit. And sit. And sit. Finally, at 1400, they pull the truck in. Turns out, they somehow missed the fact the filters arrived. They missed (or forgot) my message...and parts and service apparently don't communicate. I hit the roof, and let the service manager know how displeased I was.
Anyway....I digress. I'll actually end up with only 1900 miles this week. But I'm on a 1950-mile run for Monday, and go home next weekend. 1900 this week was really for only about 3 1/2 days. I've been running good overall...no complaints.
Except the utter lack of communication by entities a mere 30 feet apart. -
Pretty sad but I just finished my first 3000 mile week of 2012.. but since I got things straightened out, i think I can at least average around 2500 a week. I got a load now that doesn't del in Oklahoma till Monday and I'm in Chicago.. but I've had much worse on the weekend.. so only 1800 miles left to do from Monday to Friday on my mileage goal for the week.

A 3000 mile week?, I only get 1 of those a year, unless I don't Transflo and save 11 days of work. My #### terminal manager is on my ### for not running enough miles a month, when I'm begging dispatch for something productive.
Though I 'm a hermit with no bills I can live and party and put money in my savings running 8,000 miles a month, Crete needs to figure out what kind of driver they need.
I'm out of the Indy terminal, she called last month and said I needed to run more miles, I got about 8,200 in March, She said the minimum is 10,450? She can go #### herself because I'm up here in Coreyland. This #### will not stand up for me a bit, if I have any problem with anything I talk to her first. She will never settle it, But I know she won't, Thank God for a guy named Kevin in Lincoln.
I'd quit this piece of #### company in a heartbeat if I needed money for bills, but I'm pretty much set up here, a lot of time to #### off and still more money then I can spend. Til they fire me for not running enough miles and it taking me days to find place to park my bobtail along with all the other trucks from drivers that quit because they can't get miles
I know Crete monitors this site, so, 33453 -

The problem with hometime is you always get a crappy check during your time off. I would usually stay out around 4 or 5 weeks then get 4 days off. Every month I'd get 1 good check 2 ok checks and a crappy check because of hometime. Sorry but I'd rather keep my marriage and get a different job. I'm local now and off weekends, home every night, and gross over a grand a week easy. If I had to go back OTR I'd give Crete the first shot only because I know their system but I'd know in 90 days wether to turn the truck in. BTW I live in CoreyLand and if he was ever my direct Dispatcher I'd turn in the keys at my first opportunity.
