I completely understand your frustration with micro-management. Don't know what to say concerning your employer not wanting to send job verification.
any info on Poly Trucking?

I have heard here at Crete, at least on the company driver side, they don't delay... In fact I heard a driver say that once they got another company doing a reference check and found out he/she was looking to leave, they expedited the departure by routing the driver home and had them clean out the truck and return it...as in, since you're thinking about leaving you must not like it here...get out! This is just a rumor, I don't know it for fact, but is sounds about right to me.

So where did you guys go? Hows this week looking so far?

After unloading in Houston on Friday morning I reloaded in Seabrook,TX going to Graham,TX for delivery on Monday. If it weren't for needing to be home by Thursday afternoon I would have tried to drop the load in Grand Prairie and get another outbound load. So I elected to deliver Monday and got a five stop outbound load that finaled in Laporte,TX this morning. Then reloaded in Houston this afternoon going to FT Worth for 0800 in the am. I will be dropping it in GP tonight so I can leave for home early in the morning.
The total miles for the three weeks that I went to WA via a few days off in SLC, then to OR on over to MA then NY and back to TX was 8152 miles with four extra stops. This current short run around TX will be about 900 miles and four extra stops. Certainly nothing to brag about, but at .48 p/m and $30 a stop, eh, it's a living.
I will not be posting for several weeks to come as I and the Mrs. are off on vaction. We are going on a cruise out of Galveston heading to the Bahamas via Key West. Not as expensive as you may think.TLeaHeart Thanks this. -
Hey thats cool JD, hope you guys have fun and be safe.
jdrentzjr Thanks this. -
Not a bad 3 weeks there JD. Have fun on the cruise. Best vacation time one can have in my opinion.
jdrentzjr Thanks this. -
My wife certainly thinks so. This is cruise number four. Seven days of food, hotel room, great relaxing atmosphere, cool places to visit, & sights to see. All for less than $2k.

I have only been on one but the next one of many more is in September to Alaska out of Seattle. Doing a mini suite for about $3,000 for both of us. Next one is a European one maybe next year or year after. We use Norwegian because you don't have to wear suits to dinner plus no set times.jdrentzjr Thanks this.
