Ok, but the real question is, where is your favorite place to beg for showers? :biggrin_25522:

OK got my first load into Canada, same thing, Spokane to Calgary. Luckily gained 2 driving hours crossing the border which came in handy when I could find no trucks stops in Fernie as per the truck stop book. Went on to Pincher Creek which the book assured me was a nice truck stop at the junction of 3 and 6. Nothing nada lol. As time was ticking down to 13 minutes left, looking for parking in lots with signs "No Big Trucks" stress going through the roof finally just parked it anyway. Nobody bothered me though.

Now I'm up here in Calgary for over 12 hours and ticking, faxed my ACE manifest and my company says I'm not authorized by them to even be in Canada and it is Saturday, might be here til at least Monday to get this shix straightened out.

Welcome. Too bad about the hassle. Most of the time I find a roadside pullout or empty lot to park in. Usually quite a bit quieter and occassionally more scenic. There's a nice spot alongside Crowsnest Lake.

You do know this is a long weekend here? If there's anything you are needing done on this end, it might be Tuesday...

Yes I heard by the 2 lovely ladies at the shipper yesterday that Victoria Day weekend or something.

Oh yes I found plenty of pull over spots along the roads, just was wanting a sit down toilet dontcha know.

What do you mean by not authorized to be in Canada. Not licenced? Didn't they send you up here?

Somehow I'm not in the company's system (passport). I gave them a copy of my passport months ago, anyway when I faxed the ACE manifest I got a message back asking how I got a load up here, and that there was a problem that they can't authorize my return with the load that they sent me to pick up even!. I will update when this whole ordeal is over.
