Do you float gears or double clutch?

Grab a hand full of gears and gas on it.

 

When you say it like that, it reminds me of putting a 10 spd transmission back together haha!

 

When I fell off that dock into the water,I double clutched that float.Does that count?

 

Know how to float... But prefer to double clutch cause I don't want to lose the concept of it. Guess I am just too used to it.

 

I would just like to recommend to the newbies to try floating. Everyone try it for one week straight and if you don't like it go back to the double hoe down!

Floating, i can double clutch, but my knee refuses to cooperate after i get done doing it

 

only one that ever kinda messed with me for a min was the super 10....took me about 10min to remember to flip the switch instead of shifting LOL

 

double clutching will wear your clutch out faster. I float up and clutch down, save your clutch for that L.A. traffic

 

I'm a new driver, roughly halfway through training at Werner. My trainer is an OO and he insists double-clutching is easier on the truck and saves him maintenance. He throws a fit when I double-clutch. My driving school was 9-10 weeks and they were really strict about double-clutching. There's only one way I know how to do it. The "right" way. He never encountered anyone who could double-clutch as good as I can, so he decided he can live with me upshifting that way, but he taught me to single clutch and float down. It is a little easier. I can't get the hang of floating when I upshift.
