2009 peterbilt 387. It's an aero Pete. My only gripe is it is hard to see the hood mirror without jacking the seat up and the clutch brake is way deep. So I have to sit high and way forward. I'm only 5'9". Great ride, though. Marten takes care of their equipment. This truck drives like a new one. Comfy bunk, too. Happy.
123456 Thanks this. -
i was leased onto marten twice; once in 2002, quit in december of 2002 then re-leased back onto them @ thanksgiving of 2003, then terminated in may of 2005 (my stupid fault). i can't say a bad word about marten when i was leased on. i went thru 4 dispatchers before i found 1 that i could tolerate & get along with. it took time but it worked out. wish i wouldn't have been so stupid to screw up but that's life

I hope things go better for you at Marten than they did for me.

The sole reason I would never work for a national company again. I never had any problems when quitting Knight or Schneider but there was nothing stopping them had they chose that route. When I quit Knight I had to tell them I was heading home and that I would purchase the fuel. But a load magically appeared delivering about ten miles from home which was also near my yard. Got me paid, even though I didn't really need the money near as bad I needed to rid myself of the idiots at Knight.
Schneider, Knight, and Marten are constantly passing management off on each other so it's no wonder there are so many similarities. -
Can I get the inside scoop on Martin? With a new company there could be some changes in routing and fuel access. Do they keep your wheels turning? How are the Martin road policies working out?

Give him a minute. Smaggs just started with the company. If you follow this thread he'll keep it updated and the answers you seek receive you shall. </yoda>

You get a fuel guide. You trip plan on your own. You can call/qualcomm for directions. I have been constantly rolling for the four days I've been working. I have friends that have been here longer. They are happy. Never bored. Marten runs you as hard as you see fit. The checking in daily macro you use you include your HOS to help your FM(fleet manager) to properly preplan you. All is great so far.
