Having this Maxxfarce if beginning to be a pain when it comes to getting a B service outside the Acklie shops. I stopped in Watterloo, NY and this Petro can't do my service because they don't have the filters for this engine. The lady wasn't sure if they were just out of them or if they don't stock them. Since it's been so long since I've seen a company shop, I figured I would split my repair down time in 2 parts and do the oil change now and the rest later....foiled again

Yes 67 from the thruway is a good way from that direction. And there is a big truckstop at exit 16

This is my first experience with a Cascadia, and I really can't believe the difference between it and a Century class. This is a darn decent ride. Couple of little quirky things I don't like, but they don't amount to anything. Got a little air leak in (I think) the cab air-ride, and I'm thinking the batteries may be needing to be changed. AC works well, but a couple of nights it has only run about 6 or 7 hours, but that's usually well into the night enough where it's not an issue. It's due an A service in about 8K, so I'll address those issues then. But its clean, runs well, but doesn't get the fuel mileage the PS did. Of course, last week I lived in PA, too...

I love my 2012 Cascadia, it has a Cummings and
Pulls great. No issues and nearly qtr million miles.
Batteries all have to be replaced before it reaches 1
Year old. -
Well they ran me thru there on the way up, then pick up a load out of Greenwich, NY headed to Plymouth, MI so it's right back through there again. When I started seeing people with coolers and chairs setting up on the side of the road...I guess they were getting ready for all the traffic. So it was out and around for me. The only issue I had was on the way up to deliver, right after I got off of the Thruway onto rt30 in town...at a redlight, there is a long steep uphill where this truck would wind up in 4th gear, and the progressive shifting light and engine de-rate kicked in, but wouldn't pull in 5th gear so...it was upshift, downshift, upshift, downshift...that is one part of this system that really sucks.

So it wasn't Rotterdam to pick up, but just as good. A 681 mile run for Monday. That'll put me 1316 miles for the weekend...but I'll have all of 4 hours to run on Monday and still won't get my oil change and my other repairs done, and no close shop to get it fixed.

Got loaded real quick at Coors this morning. 45,000# of beer can tops going to Albany, GA. 1,568 miles loaded, 15 MT. Delivers on the 8th. I'm still in training here for a couple more weeks, then I get over to the Shaffer side. I have been doing 90% of the driving, and pretty much all miles for the past 2 weeks.
I hope miles are close to this good over at the Puffin. -
If you stop at the All Fleet drop yard in Denver, don't drop your trailer in the 300 section. That's supposed to be all Mesilla Valley and their crazy trailers with tails spots. They are getting upset with us dropping our trailers in their row. There are a bunch of Crete/Shaffer trailers that might get evicted from those spots. Our area is supposed to be the 200 section.
Ralph4159 Thanks this. -
I migha missed it, you're not driving a Crete truck are you...I thought all of Cretes Cascadias had DD15's.
