I totally agree with you.... But that's what breakdown guy told me... I told him I was thankful the tire didn't blow out all over the hwy and he replied, "Madam, if the tire is lose on the rim and it shows a cut, it was a blow out...." and I said, "OK then... sir."

 

You know, for starting the logbook at 4:15 I was just SURE I'd get home a bit earlier than normal. Did run exactly 6 delivery tickets just like Mon, Tue & Wed.

Rolled in about 19:30

Hey Transam, I will not go through St. Louis.... But if I see a crazy guy in a Transam waving at me I will wave back... I did drop&hook in Ottawa, KS, then went to Joplin, MO and tomorrow going to TN and then will p/up another load in TN close to KY and then going to MS. Now I am at a Sinclair truck stop in MO. Quiet here. There was a horrendous flash flood on US-60 in MO. All folks, cars and big trucks going really slow with their flashers on. I took the left lane and zooooommmm... just wanted to get through that as soon as I could.

 

Those $50 parking lot specials are not all they're cracked up to be. Seller probably had no problem coming down in price, then suddenly disappears.

Cops... "That you're laptop?"
Lounge Guy... "Yep, bought it a little while ago from dude outside. Got a darn good deal too. Guy wanted $500 for it, I said I'd give him $50 and he took it. Must have been hurtin' for cash. Boy did I get the best of him..."
Cops.... "Did you think it might be stolen?"
Lounge Guy... "What??? No, he just needed the money".
Cops..."Where's this dude at now?
Lounge Guy.."Don't know, he jumped in a little white car and took off, .....kinda fast".
Cops..."So you when he was quick to sell it to for little or nothing, and took off fast, you didn't suspect it might be stolen?"
Lounge Guy.."Oh heck no. I mean who'd be stupid enough to try and sell stolen stuff around here?"

 

Tried getting into that J the other night at 1800...totally packed. Went back over to the Sinclair. What a zoo. Made fun watching as creative geniuses jamnmed into every available driveway. I was able to escape in the morning.

I'm debating... need 25 more hours for a full 34, its 67 miles... do yall think I should run up, deliver, and come back to the J? I'll log it has off duty. Boring just sitting here.

 

I second that on the Breakdown department. They are definitely on top of things over there! Don't know what vitamins they take,
but I want some of those! LOL And glad the blow out wasn't too tramatic. A LOUD bang can really unNerve you.
