how much time do we get to get aquanted with the rig before we actually hit the road?
-
A couple days usually
-
LOL, I said something to my FM the other day about this. He looked at me all serious and said "The normal trainee should only get 4 hours of getting aquanted to the truck before you leave the yard with a load". I told him, not going happen if I am training someone, gonna need alot more time than that before I let him behind the wheel. Guess thats why I'm not a trainer lol

My truck, my trainee, my program. We leave when I say. My FM knows this, and respects that.

Four hours is enough time, unless your an ORD.... then I quess you need a couple days. Most of the student I had didn't need that four hours, an hour or two and they were ready to hit the highway.. The upshifting comes easy, downshifting takes practice.....

If I go with Prime, would I run the NE being from the MW?
-
Prime runs all 48, so yep.
-
Thanks, DBT. I know Prime has the NE regional routes so wasn't sure how much time those of us further west spend over there.
-
Just a few questions.
1. Is the cdl test multiple choice?
2. Does Prime require me to have hazmat endorsements ?
3. Do trucks come equipped with a CB and a radio?
