In 2005, my 1Sgt blessed me with the opportunity to go to school to be the companies NBC NCOIC.. Two weeks in class learning about what a specific nerve gas smells/taste like, how a person would feel/act if they were exposed to it, and how to protect ourselves from it. In basic training we were taught that our gas mask and NBC suit would protect us from anything related to NBC. Well the school said other wise.. If you smell or taste berries, and there are no berries, but only a fog, you got about an hour to live.. If you taste honey on your lips but didn't have any for breakfast, ya got about 30min to live. If you see a bright flash, see a large mushroom cloud and feel a strong gust of wind within 5min? of the flash, give it up you're gonna die..

It hit kinda hard when it sunk in.

Let me know if you find the correlation between your statement and my short story.

Yup, turned East at Emporia and took US13 up to Cambridge, MD. 20 miles shorter, same travel time, and only $35 for the bridge toll. Parked next to Werner in a lot across from Sprawl-Mart waiting for my delivery appointment tomorrow.

the horses are actually on Assateague part of the national parks seashore. Every year they round up some of the wild horses and auction them off. Thet drive them like cattle usually a couple hundred across the river and people with boats anchor in the river watching it. One year I did that quite an experience watching hundred horses swimming by you

Love's must be extremely busy right now... cause this BP here is totally full and most trucks are idling... pretty noisy now...:biggrin_25510:
The day today was totally GREAT! This afternoon, at Love's I met a driver who is from my country of origin and we went to the BBQ place... he had his dinner... then we came to my truck and I had my vegetarian supper and we talked and talked and talked.... Great time... Great day!! :yes2557:

Claysville, PA. Waiting on a potential suitor to drive down from Pittsburgh to meet me. I'm giving him another 30 minutes before I go inside the Huddle House. I'm starving!

You had the 1st SGT to keep you alive and the country which provided that training. However antiquated. If you went overseas, certainly you must be thankful for what we enjoy here. We are not trying to wipe out our enemies. Unfortunately, there is a small group of maniacs who believe we should be killed......after some gratuatis torture. We are in WW III....sorry to be the messenger.
