Well picking up in IA and rolling back to Dallas for a Monday morning delivery. That gives me a chance to do some BBQ with a buddy in Big D and then got a load heading back out to Vegas on Monday so things working out well for the coming days.
If you are still stuck in GP on Saturday afternoon Chem give me a shout but hopefully you will be rolling. -
Do Poly's new Madxfarce Prostars get APU's, the battery pack crap (with the mesh grill on the passenger side where a side box door would be), or are they just letting them idle?
And FL's turnpike(at least the main one) still has cash lanes. Crete doesn't use Sunpass either, and I go down the FL pike once or twice a year. -
i got the call friday evening from poly with a job offer, going to orentation on monday 11-26-12.
jdrentzjr and mushroom1464 Thank this. -

I'm taking a 34 hr at the yard. I have an outbound leaving out Sunday morning going up to Burlington, NJ. If you get to GP today, give me a call!

Well, I heard they were the piece of crap battery packs. I worked at Crete and had a ProStar+ with one of those piece of crap battery pack units on it. Mine would only go about 8 hours on a good day. Never get why companies purchase that crap to save a buck then ask the drivers how they like them. They are crap when compared to a Tripak unit. Anyone who's used both can tell you they suck compared to a regular APU like a ThermoKing or Carrier unit. Fact is they save of buck so that's what they buy. I plan to look at them when I get back to GP. I also heard they were single bunks which is less room inside. Hope I heard wrong. If not, that's three strikes against them in my book. MaxForce, Battery Packs and single bunk with no room.
Ok, Poly does not use EZPass or any other Toll Pass in their trucks. All Tolls are Pay as you use them. They reimburse all Tolls except the three the other driver mentioned. No pay back for the Tolls in Texas,Colorado or Florida. I know your message wasn't sent directly to me. I saw your post and wanted to comment on it. Thanks for reading my comments and hope they were of some use for you. Take care out there.

All the trucks have one form of APU or another. Some are diesel powered and have a generator and AC power outlets, others are battery powered with no generator. What you get depends on what is available when you get to orientation.
Trucks are set at 68 mph.jdrentzjr Thanks this. -
Hey, congrats on getting the call. I knew it sounded good for your chances when you posted you had completed the Face to Face interview and Drug Screen. Welcome aboard! Glad you decided to come join us at Poly!
