Im still asking if anyone know of a company that will train you if already have cdl but no experience. I got my cdl in Ga in 2007 but because of my backgroound no company would hire me back then. Now im hearing that all of the companies that would have hired anyone have gone out of business. If any one knows of a company that would give a man that been out of any kind of trouble since 2006 a chance please let me know. I live in Ga. if that will help any but would travel.

You're going to need a refresher at the very least.I'd try CRST.They suck, you'll be forced to team, but i think they offer refresher courses and aren't real stringent about backgrounds. I would also use the above link provided by Marky, fill out the app,and hit send to apply to as many companies as possible.Throw enough ##### against the wall and something is bound to stick.
Good luck man!!
Marky84 Thanks this. -
Unless u got murder on ur check list anyone of the startup companies could hire u, Crst swift central Stevens transport Werner
I know r a fact people that get released from prison work here at my company -
Whatever U do, Stay away fm Western Express...they will take a driver w/a questionable record & make it worse...Pay gets lousy each week....Flatbed division, Driver msgrs dispatch U like ur dry van (or maybe the Load Planners as well) Tarps gets heavier as it gets colder, They'll send U 2 places 2 p/u and/or d/l in da middle of nowhere & don't think U should be paid more 4 da so-called high priority loads....Stolen Trailers each wk or so they say...($100.00 reward U Serious??) Breakdown takes 4ever!!! so pray U don't get a new Cascadia w/or w/o EOBR (Electronic Logs) too slow even 4 Dry Van work which is being ignored 4 flatbed which is why their losing customers in that division & drivers incl me in both divisions!!!
U want experience stay away...Go to da truckersjob mags or website just don't pick Arctic Express either their just as bad....And Good Luck...Warn Others, Seriously!!! -
Roehl? - Unless you can take some refresher out there (and it would be approved by the hiring company) you might need to wade through some of the regular school. Millis has a terminal/school in GA but they will not take anyone that doesn't attend their school unless they have 1yr recent OTR.
Clean since 2006 is only 6yrs though....and since you didn't elaborate, not sure if that would be a big deal or not.

Good luck to you...keep looking if you get "NO" until you get a "YES". -

how about expunging your criminal record too. it's very cheap to do. and you don't need a lawyer.
then you'll never have to worry about it again. -
CLICK HERE for a list of trucking companies that hire new drivers.
There are companies that will hire you & sometimes you take what you can get just to get back in the game. The way it is today, you will need training to get back in. Talk to your local unemployment office or dept. of labor about the WIA program which will pay for training. Also, contact trucking companies that have their own training if that's your best option. Start putting in the online applications.
These companies may hire after training also, but there are more:
Western Express
Carolina Cargo
Paschall Truck Lines
Tribe Transport
