JD thanks for the answer regarding your new truck, and congrats again. Curious, what does the company (front office people) say about the shop issues?

Great attitude - that's what keeps you a winner in this business I've learned over the years. Also it's probably a good idea to travel lightly until you find your truck is going to work well for you - makes those moves into a loaner that much easier eh?

As someone who has spent too much time doing the 95 deal up and down - I hear you! West is best! Today I faxed in my application to Mr. Miles. You and JD and Chemster have done many of us a service, thanks so much! Here's hoping! Stay safe....

Yes they do know. We have been told the issues are being addressed, yet they continue. Could be good help is hard to find. However, I'm hearing less complaints from those driving Internationals. Could be because the trucks are newer or because Southwest International has a dedicated mechanic with a service truck that comes to the Grand Prairie yard everyday to take care of most issues not PM related.

Good luck with the hiring process.

Oh, I know! It's really a waste of time to try and type things to a lot of those people on that thread. I'll never support the idea and some of them just don't get it. Thank goodness I have this thread to comment on. Guess you're still waiting on the call. I'm on a load out to Henderson,NV. Looking forward to my first experience with Poly out there. Guess I should hit up some of the drivers about what to do out there. I probably need to do a restart on hours once I get there. Good Luck again on your call!

If you need to do a restart in Henderson you will need a bobtail pass to get off the yard. You can get a free room for one night at The Hacienda Hotel/Casino. It is the first hotel/casino as you come into NV. Just show your CDL. There is a great walking trail leaving from the hotel parking lot with great views of Lake Meade. Plus if you want a birds eye view you can take a helicopter ride for $30, also located in the hotel parking lot.

Hey, thanks for those tips. That all sounds Awesome and I would like to do something like that for sure. I plan to be getting there sometime Monday afternoon. I haven't ever requested a Bobtail pass. Who do I request that from? I guess I also need to send in a message to be on the outbound board. Do I just request to be on Wednesday's board or whatever? I feel weird asking those kind of questions but I just don't know much about some of those things until I ask or experience them with Poly. Thanks again for your help and information. :)

Always update your availability ASAP; be it for outbound or backhaul. For bobtail pass call Octavius Monday morning. Leave a message & he should return your call. If he doesn't call you back within an hour call outbound.
