I already supplied my DA348, they were more interested in my license then my 348, but I will not use my G.I. Bill as I'm about 10-11 months short from graduating from my bachelors program. I already have my CDL, I just need to complete the 8 week company training program. Thank you for your insight though. I just wish I found this company 2 years ago when I was unemployed.

LOL, just the opposite for the company I will be going to, I faxed them my LIC. and 214 and then the HR recruiter wanted my 348 also

I gave up everything upfront so their wouldn't be any questions about my qualifications. I did same thing for another company that claimed they had a veterans program that trained, needless to say I didn't get that position as they claimed they filled it with another qualified candidate in my area. Needless to say it was a blessing in disguise, and I found a really good company far as pay and benefits goes for company driving anyways. Then I went to unemployment office and they said you don't need a driving school as you already have your CDL A, then one of the workers there had a spouse that drove for a company and they wanted to snatch me up, so I applied then found out about the pay, .15 cpm for like 6 months I was like sorry I will pass. That night kept looking online and found the company I start training with next month. I got a buddy that has a teamster job making bank, but you gotta have some experience under you belt in the civilian world first. I'm pretty sure the company I'm going with is a good fit for me, more family/veteran oriented and I like the pay and benefits, hopefully the miles is as good as everything else, which is my main concern.

I start with Crete at $500 per week for 8 weeks then .37 CPM when I go solo after 3 months of no violations or safety incidents then I get a raise to .40 cpm. I get bluecross blueshield medical, dental, and vision for $100 per week that starts within 30 calendar days of me starting training.

Ok its out that is the company I chose and my reasoning is solid. I do not want to hear any negativity oh I could of done better, doubtful as I have done my own research. For me right now this is my best option given my experience and lack thereof.
-
sounds like you made a good solid choice, .15cpm is bs

Welcome to the forums! Thank you for your service! I also just got out recently. I was air force though. My AFSC was the counterpart of an 88M. I did a tour at Camp Arifjan and did convoys in Iraq. We were actually attached to an army transportation battalion and they provided our escort.
