Are you referring to making it as a company driver or a lease purchase driver? I agree if your talking about a company driver. As someone with the ability to run a profitable business I would be surprised at you making a statement like that regarding someone who is coerced into a lease when they had no intentions of running a business. Lease deals are complete scams and probably 90% of them result in colossal failure for the leasee. That's why the companies are so aggressive in pursuing them.
Is there a member on this board that has been a successful company driver for Trans-Am for more than 2 years? They should chime here as I and a few others have some questions for them.

The fact that they are hiring this many drivers on a regular basis should raise an eyebrow,Business aint that good and if it was so unbelievable they wouldnt have to advertise because good or bad the real word will get through the circles and forums and the folks with the zippers in the front of their britches just ease on down the road and leave it alone because the one thing that has stood the test of time is If it sounds to good to be true It is,Thats a tried and true statement that most anyone can attest to!There are plenty of potential employers out there and most people should hold themselves to a higher standard instead of settling on something they would normally never even consider!

leasing to a company is inherently wrong. a company intentionally misleading and wasteing people's time is wrong. Think about the arrangement. Driver assumes the overhead, and the company controls revenue to the truck.Driver on the limb and company in control. If you go for this, you need to take business 101.
On the other hand, a true owner operater with some smarts stands to make a good living.
Boy do we live in a world of illusion misrepresentation which is carefully conducted to lure in the unsuspecting people.Dna Mach Thanks this. -
what's the point of putting someone with a "coach" that will make them want to quit. Just don't hire them, there are plenty of reasons during orientation to not hire someone.

OK. TransAm or any other company can't make anyone do anything..... It is ALWAYS a choice. You must choose TransAM to go there in the first place. You have to choose to lease, they can't make you lease, It is your signiture on the agreement right? So stop with the BS ****Must Read**** posts, and stop blaming other people for your poor decisions. You make a decision and you don't like what you have gotten yourself into and that is the companies fault? grow up.
Dna Mach is correct most leases are worthless and 99% of drivers should never consider a lease, because bluntly, they are not smart enough to be successful. Sounds harsh I know but holding a steering wheel does not qualify you as a business owner and as a LO you are running your own business.Cranky Yankee and skullitor Thank this.
