If it's a company truck, the company can put any technology in it they want. As far as laws that would prevent the company from doing it - don't know if there are any. I would think they would have to let you know about cameras, etc. that are installed or would be installed inside the cab. If an in-cab camera goes in my assigned truck I'm bustin' out the leopard skin speedos! They'll yank that camera out before the day is done!

That's something I would do. Nothing like a good mooning to get the safety manager fired up. :biggrin_25523:

I like to browse youtube videos that have wrecks with drive cams in them. Saw a wreck a couple of weeks ago when the driver was eating a Big Mac while driving, and she hit a soft curb and rolled the truck trying to correct. The truck rolled 3 times, and the whole time she rolled, she managed to not only hold onto the Big Mac, but take a bite as well. She was determined to finish that sandwich. :biggrin_2559:

Its simple really.....if you had a had a guy driving your truck you'd want to know what he's doing in that truck........its a lot easier to replace a driver than it is to replace a $150'000 truck.

I just love how some people go for that "well, if you aren't doing something illegal or unsafe then you should question cameras/laws/cops etc". I call them mindless sheep. ANY intrusion on your privacy, personal life or basic human rights should have you worried.

When you go to work you leave your privacy and personal life at home.
