Winding up my 2nd day at the J in Carlisle, PA. These brokers think that I will pay them to haul their freight. I won't, but apparently there are other truckers that will.

Gettin' picky in a soft market, eh? Those daily fixed costs begin to build up after a couple of days.

Being a company driver, my fixed costs aren't near what yours are

I calculated the owner's fixed costs at $50 per day plus whatever fuel it takes to keep the truck interior at 70 degrees. He just started getting a little antsy today about the truck not moving, but at the same time was livid about rates being what they are hehehehe.
Normally the worst case would have me bouncing up to Cleveland and heading back to DC with some $3+ freight - but everything out of Cleveland is under $2 as well. smh.

Great falls, Montana. Surprisingly nice and warm here. Snows melting , roads are dry, suns shining!

Home as of 20:03. Two runs up to about 14:00. Then it started feeling like Friday!
Beep, take this. Beep take that and so on.
Both good and bad I have a morning thing to do. Good because I won't sit at the truckstop whiddling my thumbs until 10:00 or even later Bad because when you toss in the after 16:00 crunch it will be one long day! -
Better drop that trailer landing gear - you're in for some 60mph wind gusts.
