Amazing that whenever someone has something favorable about a company, either referring to the present or past, that someone else has to pull the "you're a recruiter" card. It is probably the singularly weakest argument one can present, and is generally used when that someone has no other valid point to make.

This, too, is merely an opinion. :biggrin_2556:

I now have a delima. The heater worked great last night in Indy. Tonight will be a low of 0 (wind chill in the -15 to -20 range). The delima, do I risk taking this truck to the shop, sit all day only to have it work right for them and not find anything wrong, and then leave only to have it act up again with temps that low...decisions decisions...

He had to hit the brakes...and I would guess that that he didn't have enough chains to keep it where it was suppose to be.

I suppose this is common sense, but it took me 3 weeks to figure out :biggrin_2556:. My passenger window hasn't been working for all that time and I stupidly thought it had just jammed or something. But this morning I found out it has no electrical at all, so the whole time the door has also been unlocked. I'm d@mn lucky I never got ripped off.

When do you guys use the anti-gel? I've always been under the impression that it's not needed unless you are in sustained temps under about 10 deg (like you are). But I've heard different things each time I ask a mechanic so i've never been sure.

I use it if I'm headed into 10 degree or lower and if my last few fuel stops were in TN, KY or points south. I've been subzero temps and never had an issue with the new ULSD/bio mixed fuels that supposedly gel at a higher temps than the old low sulphur diesel. I also add some when my LCD dash screen has the 'water in fuel' message, which means either bad fuel, or condensation has built up from all the 'less than 1/2 tank' partial fills we tend to get.

Lincoln helped me decide to head to the shop. There was a Crete who emptied right beside me, and was empty 30-40 minutes ahead of me. After I emptied, almost 45 minutes later, I get a shag load...Indy to Indy. When I left, he, the driver who emptied earlier than me, was still waiting. He ended up getting a load off the yard too, a little longer run than me, but not really much better...I told them that since their 'overbooked' loads were so unproductive, after the shag, the truck is going in the shop.

Update, the receiver just told me that Crete has to reschedule, so I wasted more of my valuable hours for nothing because the useless butt####s can't plan.

I think the braintrust in Lincoln would screw up a wet dream.

Utter incompetence. After I message op's about the customer requesting we reschedule and received a reply from my AMM, 90 minutes later, the load planner asks if they're going to accept the load. Arrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You useless brain damaged moron. What f'g part of f'g NO don't you f'g under f'g stand. I try to be patient with the mentally handicapped...I try to be patient with ignorant people, but plain stupid people, I have no tolerance with.(the difference is, ignorant people don't know any better, stupid people know better but do whatever it is anyway)
