At home (in Wisconsin, Otter) in front of the fire trying to summon the energy to tackle all the things that haven't been done in the 5 weeks I've been gone.

Well crap. It snowed 1/4 inch in North Carolina, and OMG! Lets shut the whole stinkin' state down. Called my receiver in Durham to inquire about how late they'll be open, and heck... we gotta close early. The streets got "icy." Imagine that. ICY!!!

Mt Airy. Gonna hang with Andy 'n Barney. For the friggin' weekend. Brintle's Auto/Truck Plaza.

Yeah, welcome to NC. They don't have the equipment or resources to deal with any type of snow beyond the mountains, so it gets packed onto the road and stays there as ice until it either melts or sublimates away. And then, nobody knows how to drive on it. But they all seem to find a reason to get out and try.

Don't go looking for any bread or milk in the stores - it won't be there.

Finished early today so I could make my appointment to get my new hearing-aids. My doctor said she was disappointed with the ear molds, they don't fit properly. So she made another set of casts to have them redone. Since it's hard for me to get the time off, she's going to mail them to me.

Not a bad week, just a couple of late starts. Once because they wanted to lube my truck. The second because a hub-cap on my trailer started leaking so had to have it replaced.

Home until early, early Monday morning. Have to load in Chanute and be in Wichita by 7am. I really hate these.
