New to Prime INC - What to expect (Springfield edition)

Personally, I'd rather not pay for an app that spams its own ads on every message sent with it.

 

That can be turned off. In fact it was off by default when I installed.

 

The only app I can find in the google play store by that name is a voice recorder.

 

At what point in the training phase do you need to get a passport & apply for a TWIC? Right away after getting the CDL license?

 

Hello everyone and thank you all for the excellent information. I received my acceptance letter and will be starting orientation on the 13th. I graduated from a respectable truck school and already have my cdl with all endorsements except for haz-mat. I did read the thread but i am somewhat confused. My letter says i will be started in d-seat. Am i correct that in this group you receive the 500 dollars a week for 10000 miles and then 600 for the remaining 40000?

 

you better check with your recruiter. D seat is student.

has it been a while since you graduated or do you have no recent experience, because I've net a few people who have started from scratch because Prime does not have a refresher course.

Save yourself some headache and find out for sure.

c seats are recent truck school grads (outside Prime). It's $500 or .10/mile for 4 weeks with a trainer and then you graduate to B seat at $600 or .12/mile for the remainder of your 40k miles.

all Prime students (D seats) graduate to B seat (skip C) once they get their CDL thru Prime.

 

You apply for those after you pass you CDL test. When you transition from psd to tnt

I spoke to my recruiter yesterday about the same thing. I didn't want to bring too much with me and I live in jeans and a tee shirt. He told me that jeans and a tee shirt are fine as long as they are clean. No wild slogans or ripped clothing. Just 'cause your clothes are holey doesn't mean they're church clothes.
