This one still baffles me.
About 7 years ago, I was team driving for a national pizza company. We would leave our terminal in Portland Oregon and hand truck our products into six to ten pizza joints around the northwest states then return to Portland.
On this particular trip we left Portland and made our first stop in Moses Lake Washington (maybe 5 hours northeast of Portland).
My partner on that trip was a Ukranian man who I'll call "Niko". Niko spoke very little English. Underline "very little".
When we arrived at Moses Lake at about 3am for our first delivery Niko discovered that he had left the keys required to enter the Moses Lake store back in Portland.
I knew our entire trip was going to be screwed because we had no contact numbers to call in case of such a huge blunder and no employees would be showing up for a good seven hours.
All we had was an invoice that listed the address for the store, (Which we didn't need because we were already there.) and the store phone number which was irrelevant because as I already said, THE STORE WAS CLOSED!
Well, needless to say I was something less than pleased and Niko was flat freaking out and likely in fear of losing his job.
He kept saying, "Call someone! Call someone!". And I kept trying to tell him there was no one we could call.
Niko would not accept this reality. He got on his knees and began to pray. When he finished, he stood back up and again began looking at the invoice searching for a solution. His eyes lit up! He pointed at the phone number that was listed for the now very closed store and excitedly told me to "Call 'dis number.".
I tryed to explain that this was the phone number for the store that we were standing only 5 feet from, and that if we called it, we would simply hear the sound of an unanswered phone ringing inside. I knew this for a fact because I had on several ocassions called that very number.
Niko didn't understand enough English to comprehend that fact. He would not be deterred. He pulled out his cell phone, carefully dialed the number off the invoice (Its important to note here that I watched him as he read and entered that number.) then handed me his phone.
I rolled my eyes and put it to my ear knowing full well that no one would answer.
But, I was wrong. A very tired voice answered "Hello.".
I though an emplyee must have fallen asleep inside the store so I said "Wow, you're in the store?", to which the voice replied "No, I'm in "the Bed", who is this and what can I do for you?" He sounded truly interested so I gave him an apology and a quick recount of the nights events and how we came to wake him from his sleep.
This is where it gets interesting. The man said he could in fact help us. I found that though Niko truly had dialed the store number, he somehow had reached a completely different phone in a completely different area code!
The man was in Seattle, maybe 4 to 6 hours from Moses Lake. However as "luck" would have it years before he had worked for that very pizza company at that very location. He just happened to still be in contact with a couple of the employees there and one of them lived litterally across the street from the store.
Within a couple of minutes, a young lady was running accross the street in her pajamas to let us in to the store for the delivery!
Niko was very content. He never was able to speak sufficient enough English to understand that what had transpired was something of a miracle. He thought he had simply found the correct phone number to call and had called it. THAT MANS NUMBER WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND ON ANY OF OUR PAPERWORK!
I can only conclude that God does in fact honor and answer confidently prayed prayer.
So, I guess prayer works!

Okay, you expect me to believe God cares about pizza supplies? I guess if the owner donated enough to the church anything's possible.

That is a pretty uplifting and incredible story. You just never know what is out there.
-
Yep, he does.

6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pence? and not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God. 7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
If He cares about the birds do you not think he is more concerned with human's needs or those that pray to Him? -
well put notarps

Yuppppppper, Prayer's do help!
I watched an associate in my Family's Personal business on tv, live, experience a "Wreck".
I prayed immediatly. I then called an office in FL , and the voice at the other said" She got up and walked away to the ambulance " ,pheww! -
That is a grest and amazing story and I believe every word because I know that God answers prayers.....had it not been for Him I would be dead now but He woke me up just in time so I could wake up my co-driver...before he went over the mountain.....I saw the front ties of the tractor up against the guard rail.......on top of a mountain! I screamed and my co-driver woke up just in time to grab the steering wheel and move back onto the road...............This is why I drive solo because I don't trust someone driving while I sleep....now I can sleep and my truck is parked!
This is how I know God answers prayers....and I still ask Him before I get into my truck to drive to take care of me, and protect me from outside harm!
