Thoughts and prayers for your sister and the family. Please let us know how she is doing.
Rocks, sounds like you had some great luck with that load after all. Now I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get another great load after it's dropped.
IP, sounds like you're going to have a pleasant time at home. How old is the young'un?
Dave, I don't know much about the hotshot biz, but I always thought they kept hopping. Do you only do airport type hauling? Are there oilfields in your area that utilize hot shots? I always thought that was a pretty good biz between TX & LA.
I've gone twice now for my drug test and twice they haven't got it right. 1st time they took hair instead of wee wee, even though I gave them that, also. Today they sent me back because I only need the non-DOT urine test. The place I went doesn't do those, they only do DOT, but say the hair follicle is considered non-DOT. Called Corp twice while I was waiting for an hour, and they were supposed to fax the correct form over. At 1600 they still hadn't faxed it over, so I talked to the gal at Corp and she is going to over night it to me at home. 3 times has to be the charm. I'm supposed to be starting full time Monday, but they have to have the drug screen first.
We have a mouse or 2 at work and they like the dispatcher's desk. Today she went to reach in her drawer for something and the mouse jumped out of it and ran across her desk. All we heard was the scream and knew exactly what happened. The boss said tomorrow is "bring your cat to work day"...LOL. I don't think any of our cats will go after a mouse.
Giggles the Original and Rocks Thank this. -
Wow. The most amazing thing. I stayed moving pretty good. Had 9 delivery tickets. Never waited long for dispatch. Never got hung up for any measurable time at a shipper or receiver.
But my GPS still shows almost 6 and a half hours still...
Shoot I had to eat on the run.
Anyhow rolled in about 18:40. Dinner and a couple shows on DVR and here I am shortly before the sheets yell too loud. -
Twin falls , Idaho . Dragged the chain all day, felt good for the first hour then just dragged all the rest. Been on the road six weeks today so might be time to header home at the end of this trip on the 15th for a few days break.
