Missed meeting Pete by this |_| much on Tuesday. We were NB out of McPherson, he was on I-135 and I on old US-81. Stayed in the middle of nowhere (Palmer, KS) Tuesday night. Ran the same route Wednesday & Thursday, Hartford,KS-McPherson,KS, Marquette, KS-Dorchester, NE, Palmer, KS-Emporia, KS. Stayed at the Petro in Salina Wednesday night though, had to get a shower, and washed my truck too. Made it home last night after sitting in line for nearly 2 hrs at Bunge in Emporia.

As I was heading to Emporia from Palmer, my brother calls me, he was somewhat shook up. He came close to being hit head-on by a 10-wheeler box truck on I-35 near the Williamsburg exit. He said the truck came across the median, and whipped it back across just before hitting him.

We're actually giving the government and most of the middle men the middle finger. We're borrowing the money from family and closing at the end of next week. Pretty good chance I'll never buy another house the traditional way, because I'm not putting my wife through this crap again. I appreciate the kind thoughts, though!

 

Rushed to hook trailer and take a little under 3k to airline.

Leaving Pueblo and heading out to comifonia to load on Sunday. I just hope I can get in and out before the scale at the Cheveron refinery for the day. It's normally open 24 hours, except Sunday.
