Trying to figure out what fuel card is the best

If you get a card thru a Company , and get a better price , that's Great. As long as you're with that company. What happens if you leave ?
My card with NASTC doesn't depend on what company I'm leased to. The discounts are still there.
No minimums . You get the discounts from Day 1 .
I've found places where , even with their discount , I'm better off paying Cash. So , I always keep a couple hundred on me , and there's usually an ATM available , if I need more cash. ATM fees are Tax-Deductable. In the last year, I've had to use them twice. The savings were worth the fees.

I agree and Fleet One has not been any problems at all for me either.

NASTC Fleet One Card is the best program I have found to date for me.

As far as I know Pilot doesn't own any fuel card companies. They may have an interest in TCH, since it is owned by Transportation Alliance Bank and that was part of Flying J. It is supposed to be owned by an investment company since the merger/acquisition by Pilot. T-Check is owned by CH Robinson. The other cards are likely still owned by other banks. If you have a PDCA card from TAB, you are supposed to get a $0.02/gallon discount off the cash price. Most of the fuel cards charge a fee every time it is used. There is no fee for the PDCA card and it can be used at any fuel stop where you can receive the cash price.

Some of the other fuel cards offer some discounts with a minimum monthly or annual amount of fuel purchased. It is difficult for the small operators to receive a decent discount. If you run your authority, there are some brokers who offer their fuel card for settlements and you can receive a fuel discount from most of them. The down side is that you have little control over how the card is used unless it is issued to your company.

Robinson) (Nasdaq: CHRW), today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement and has sold its payment services business, T-Chek Systems, Inc. (T-Chek), to Electronic Funds Source, LLC (EFS) for $302.5 million in cash. EFS acquired the assets and assumed certain liabilities of T-Chek.

So now that its cleared up in my head, I want NO transaction fees and my OLD GOOD Flying J discount back. Make money on me on both ends is BS.

Thanks I just filled out the online app. I like what I hear about them and comcheck. But when I went to the fleet one website it said:

Wright Express has completed the acquisition of Fleet One - a fuel cards, financial services and fleet management information services provider.

So hopefully everything will still be the same as you all are sayin.

Thanks for the information on the NASTC card. We are getting a Comdata card which will give us discounts, but will get charged for various transactions. We have also ordered a Fleet One card, Pilot and Loves cards. I used Comdata when leased to a carrier, but we now have our own authority and will be figuring which one works the best and at which truck stops.

if you want the discounts , with Fleet One card, you must join NASTC first , and get your card thru them.

nastc uses fleetone on the side. fleetone is its own entity

i see advantages in having fleetone, i am still puzzled about nastc

Think the NASTC mainly uses TA's too, which I rarely go to. A week or so ago there was $.14 cents per gallon difference cash to cash price between Loves & TA. Have no idea what if any the additional discount the NASTC card may have provided. Am pretty sure I would be the sort that card would throw off their member list for not using it enough.

I use FleetOne from NASTC and you get a book, or go on line, you will see all kinds of fuel points. Mom & Pops and yes TA's/Petro Loves as well but, more of the smaller no name places.
