Yea usually when I see a sign no trucks I follow it. Stupidity on your part to disregard but luckily you made it thru just scraping it.

Also thats what the atlas is for and trip planning. Has low bridges and restricted routes in the beginning.

New York is especially bad for posting lower than actual heights to keep trucks off of certain routes. I was just reading an article on it in one of the trucking magazines. They leave posting bridge height up to the county's or city's I can't remember which now. But If a town doesn't want trucks coming thru they'll just repost a 14' bridge at 12' and problem solved.

Although if you are saying you think you scraped then I don't think that was the case here.

911 is not to help people in stupid situations . It's for emergencies .
Many low bridge signs also have a weight limit . If you damaged the bridge you'd be out of a job and likely unhireable .

Why is the question? You done it before? Why? So you made it under one so they all must be like that.

You better take signs to heart. You better take trip planning to heart.

It irks me when someone parks in front of a "no parking" sign let alone disobeys a traffic control device. You should of been fined so it sets in.

It's really not that hard to do things the right way. Become a creature of good habits or bad habits. It's your choice.
