I hope LS has more freight than we do, because they are like five times the size of Mercer. And if they have better rates, or so you think, then why have I been seeing LS contractors on TTR complaining that its slow and they have been doing alot of sitting because the freight sucks and it don't pay?

Due to the number of contractors that can't think for them self. Beginning April 15, Mercer is going to terminate all coordinators! They will be replaced with baby sitters. All baby sitters must have day care experience, that way they can hold contractors hand and coddle them when need be.

This is great news, we no longer have to think and make choices, and if we are not making any money, it's the baby sitters fault. Now that's how an owner operator company should be ran.:biggrin_25523::biggrin_2559::biggrin_25514:

And the sad thing is bayou if you were or had been leased to LS you would be ######## that the rates are horrible. Thats just the way you seem to be, a grass is always greener kind of guy.

They do have more freight but they also have over 8,000 BCO's and over 30,000 contract carriers . . . you run the numbers . . . go Mercer!

the truth will set you free!!!
I don't think it's #####eeein it's just facts, I'm a nice guy and really smart when it comes to trucking. I have made some mistakes in the past by not knowing what I was doing, I'm better at telling people how to do things than I care to listin to what I'm telling others.

I have walked lots of people thru everything they needed to know to get started in trucking and even have one buddy that now has 46 trucks. Just last week he said he made 1.2million profit ya profit last year 2012, but when he started he had someone with all the money he started with 10 trucks and trailers and was given 10 years to pay it back six years later he did just that.

The fact is the more trucks you have the easier it is to make it, just like it takes money to make money, and the more money you have the easier it is to make money!

I don't have anyone backing me, both of my parents were killed when I was 14 mom worked at walmart and didn't make any $$ dad was drunk and acted like he was a carpenter so I started with ####. I've worked for everything I have my house, shop, cars everything I own is paid for except for two trucks and two trailers and my wife has never worked except the first six months we were together.

So how's life going for you? mines good and yes trucking has been good to me I just hate seeing where it's headed. I'm just use too the good days, ya I know them days are never comming back but but it's hard working twice as hard for the same money I got when I first started.

It's the same crying from the same two on here. But must not be as bad as they cry because they keep on here crying ensteand going for that greener grass at Landstar.
So why not just go back to having your own authority?
Why keep crying on here? Are you after sympathy? You wanting Mercer to give change things just for you?
