Ive only been with them a month now, and the night and weekend dispatch is the only thing that has really ticked me off. Any other time during the week things are great for me so far.

it comes and goes with the weekend guys. I have talked to a few, including my AM who used to work that shift. There's something like one third the number of dispatchers and AM's(Sat. mornings only) for the same number of trucks. Not making excuses just trying to walk in their shoes...although sometimes their shoes are ill fitting and make me grumpy:biggrin_25526:

Schneider was the same way, if not worse. It's not universal, but pretty close, at least with larger companies.

Not sure what they do for miles. I was told by one of the drivers doing that, that they get $995 a week and Sundays off. This may be outdated info or flat out incorrect. Just passing along what I was told. He also told me they had to live within 50 miles of Philly....

If they are understaffed at night, and on weekends, at least they could hire a few people who actually have an IQ over that of a brick, or know a little about trucking.

Wow, crete is hauling catainers now? I don't even know what those are. :)

I am driving for JB Hunt out of the railyards in Portland, OR. They pay .34per mile (250-300 miles per day), $20 per drop, $30 for live or HAZMAT,plus detention. Pay Not as good as OTR, 10-12 hours per day, but sometimes 13. Home every night 2 days off per week.
