Are there any companies, except Con-Way, that will pay you while you attend school? I need to get my cdl, but I have to keep working too. So, either I have to go to school and get a part time job, or work the docks like Con-Way (I have application in with them already) does and attend their school. So, are there any schools you can attend while getting paid to go to school? Thanks.

Talked to them earlier today, but I have to get my cdl first and I can't afford that right now. Plus I need a bit more practice to pass the cdl test, hence why I need the school. My financial sitch does not dictate that I go without a paycheck any longer, so was hoping to find a school that would pay me to work for them while I was in school to get my cdl.

No guarantees here, catfish, but you might try looking into hiring on with a local farmer for the summer / fall season. Most of your larger farm operations run tractor-trailers to move their grain to market and they just might be willing to allow you to work while you learn their operations and driving their equipment. Like I said, there is no guarantee but it could be a win-win situation for you.

You're not going to find a trucking company that'll pay you to learn. So I suggest finding a school and take day or night classes or parttime school and work the time youre not in school.I imagine many ppl do that.
