Lol, unfortuately, we have become overburdened with stupid, lazy people everywhere these days. More lazy than anything, with just plain ol dumb running a close second. I don't lay claim to being the smartest, but, I will claim that I am one of the hardest workers around.

I have thought about it and I appreciate your input Vision Logistics and I will have to wait till after BASIC/AIT. Only reason I want to be an 88n is because I do have a degree in business management and its better pay, benefits and more tuition assistance if I am an officer rather than enlisted.

My goal as said before is to have one truck, one maybe two trailers and my own authority that is which is the reason why I want to aim for 88n to get a better understanding of everything involved not just the driving part (A little more knowledge never hurt any)

1 yes theyre those out there that try and act like tough ###### and go in the military for the glory and fame and the handouts. But there are those type of people everywhere (welcome to the human race)
2 As for thinking that military is not as hard working and not as professional as most people hmmm..... id research a little more on what companys say about hiring veterans
Don't get me wrong there are hard working people that never set foot in the military and are raised tough to be hard workers from a very young age and I say congrats but don't start bad mouthing military just cause there are very few bad apples out there. Im sure many don't like people bad mouthing all truckers just because of a some super truckers...

The reason I asked that question id just wanted to know if I possibly could get a job before or should I wait after and do find some of the comments helpful. Also for what im looking for what I want I understand its a lot to ask but I thought id just throw it out there to see the response id get.

    Thank you
    Anthony S.

I went to Greatwide orientation a few years ago & they had company trucks & 0/0's. The only reason I decided not to take the job, is I found a tanker job I liked more.

Greatwide.. is phasing out their company trucks..as Greatwide no longer exist as greatwide.. It is now Greatwide/Cardinal.. they just haven't changed the signs. (may not).. Greatwide is going to be o/o... Cardinal company side..

As far as greatwide hiring someone with a lot of points on CSA... Not sure they will do it anymore... They seem to fire people now days for farting in their own truck (sarcasm).. It is getting hard to get on here now.. They allowed us to be outlaws for their benefit for years.. Now they want a saintly CSA score.. So they are pretty strict now..

I have some advice Anthony, if I were you I would stay were you are until after you go though your Boot camp then Officer training before looking into a driver position, and also think about what you stated above about working overtime without pay, getting yelled at by your boss and sitting behind a desk because as a new officer thats exactly what your going to be doing.
