....so, I guess we can never move over for an oversize...use the shoulder when construction dictates we do so...geez...it's getting harder to stomach this garbage every day....

I really think these types of devices are going to create more problems in the long run. Yes, they may help avoid an accident by a totally inattentive driver. But for the average driver like me, I notice the Onguard creates many negative behaviors. I have to change lanes unnecessarily when someone goes from the left lane into my lane and then brakes as they exit. I am well away from the vehicle, but the Onguard notices the momentary differential and wants to take drastic action. There are many other subtle scenarios in which the Onguard does not make me safer but is in fact an additional problem I have to factor in. With all the new cab cameras, driver sensors, anal probes, etc, it is going to create long term bad habits as we have to deal with the unsafe intrusions and sudden taking over control of our driving rather than focusing on real time conditions that only a human can see developing. Shame on you Crete.

I guess Crete has changed their rider policy again. I heard a commercial today where they allow anyone over 19 to ride. Wonder why they made that change. Funny how they change things like that all the time. Having those recorders will cost them some more drivers. Empty trucks for sure if recording the driver as mentioned. Good Luck Crete Drivers! Lol :)

It only goes to prove that they are striving to be the leading 'bottom feeder' or stepping stone company. Imagine what this is going to do. It will cause many experienced drivers to leave. And to fill trucks, they'll have to bring in more and more driving school recruits that are only here to get that 1 year of experience so they can move on. That may save them a few bucks in the payroll department, but ends up costing them more in freight claims and accidents since the 1st year of experience is the most likely time a new driver will have a crash.

My new grandson, Micah Maxwell. Little early at 5 pounds, 12 ounces but baby and parents all doing fine. This is my stepson and his wife's baby, so it is my wife's first grandchild related by blood (our other two grandkids are by my daughter). Yup...mama is over the moon!

Another one of those customers. After Crete had me t'call the rest of the load from Joisey in Spartanburg, they sent me a load from a customer in Spartanburg to Lexington, KY for Friday. 1400 pu appt, 9 am delivery. I get to the shipper and check in at 1230, back into the dock and wait. At 1600, I go make a little noise...and ask bubba if he needs help counting higher than 10 so he doesn't have to take his shoes off...it turns out, they somehow mis-printed my paperwork to show a 1630 appt, it wasn't until I spoke up that they checked...needless to say, yet another load that won't make the delivery appointment on time...that's 2 of 3 this week, and about 45-50% for the month...through no fault on the driver. It's been shipper or op's screw ups.
