Attention all company drivers!!!

Wow, let me get this right, you work for a company 12 months minimum, no matter what, and you have worked for 17 companies, all to write a book? You better get your research done pretty soon or you will be too old to write a book.

I am just starting out. Just graduated from driving school. I have offers from Werner, US Express, Kllm.

Not sure who to go with. I am thinking KLLM. Any feed back.

I started with JBS carriers and they are pretty good in my mind. I didn't whine and that paid off for me
it is a big shock to the system to be gone and bunking with a stranger. Then being on your own.I'm now a local driver and enjoying my family and bed every night. It was good to get expirence and skills. Most new drivers don't realize the commitment to OTR. I tip my hat to all OTR Drivers it's a lifestyle not a job. Also attitude plays a big part it's not easy dealing with recievers and driver mangers that don't respect you as a person. Good luck to you I hope you make it.

 

A note to everyone:

I was told by a former trucking executive, that there are drivers out here that are expected to write negative things about their own employers. He said they are baiting current employees to speak their mind. The repercussions occur shortly after.

Companies like Crete/Shaffer/Hunt, who have spies in the driver ranks, are perfectly set up to do this very thing. I got turned in for sitting safely off the road talking on my mobile phone. I had an important call and I needed to take notes.

Make sure you speak the truth here in the forum. No company can legally screw with you if you tell the truth. If you 'heard' something or were 'told' something, then say that. Don't take credit for something that did not involve you!!!

 

These people are as fanatical as the gov't eaves dropping on it's citizens in the name of anti terrorism. Quite simply, if you treat a person fairly with respect and loyalty , they would do their very best to maintain a positive work ethic and be model citizens. The evidence is clear when corporate greed , and governmental mis appropriation of our tax dollars are thrown into the mix of one's lively hood !!!

However, they don't have to legally screw you. Companies can pretty much do what they want to right now, unless you are in the union, all you could do is go to the NLRB (NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD) and they are back logged with cases for at least a hundred years or more.

 

the trucking companies come in here to read what they already know....how bad they treat us

 

Of course everyone has control over how bad they are to be treated..Think about it.?!
