Pondering my really good fortune last night. Some ol' geezer I'm passing drops off the ol' mental edge for a few ticks, and drifts right out of his lane into my right steer. He bounces off... the incident eats away a little at his two left doors, and mashed my lug nut covers. State patrol came out, and looked rather bored. No tickets, no inspection, an informational sheet for us on our particulars... not even a report. Got the triangles out, and spent more time herding him out of the traffic lane than anything else. Crazy as in the onset of dementia. I70, it's later on, but traffic is still doing their usual trying to take my left mirrors off, and this ol' guy persists in wandering out into the middle of that.

A little different angle, and that ol' man would have ended up underneath my tractor, squashed and dead.

 

Back from Bklyn in the wee hours this AM--fun day yesterday--Da bronx--Brooklyn and a Jersey for good measure! 3 rounds and all legal--but NYC DOT being #####--grabbed me just b4 bridge on 3d Av bout 4 this--and me "where you think your going?" Told him I was looking for the Point and I was lost!
Didn't work--but he laughed and said it was at least original--tol me next time thru Manhatten--he gonna make me wish I paid the toll--we both knew there would b a next time--LMAO
SO still hangin round--helpin clean up some o de overload inbound from last week--headin up towards NE sumtime later--still puttin load together@farm.....
As for other comments from the peanut gallery--
ND--I DID pocket the 50--I just didn't run the toll road--
Pete--I would never give you a hard time--LOL--and as much as I hate to pay tolls--truth is the PA pike os many times unavoidable(BUT WAY TOO HI DOLLAR ANYMORE)--and we have a bunch of JIT produce stuff that has to go West--and we end up on it all too often--at least it is a FUN road--actually--other then the cost--it is till one of my favorite roads to run--even if they have been trying to engineer all the fun out of it--I really think one day they are gonna try to make it flat&strait!
But goin east depends on where I am coming from--if up on 80--I usually run 322--depends on my mood-course the 15mph holdover on 7mountains form when it was a 2 lane kinda irks me!--LOL
But actually ifn ur going all the way across--its 12 miles shorter to run over to 81 and down 309 thru woods to 78--but all depends.....

Hey JimBob... I didn't know where I would be sent... Was waiting for my dsp to get to his office this morning.... My preloaded trailer will be ready tomorrow morning. I am parked at this other FJ in MO about 20 mins from shipper.... Got this nice spot here...



Will have no difficulty leaving tomorrow early morning... And nobody will hit me either... hopefully...

 

$50 bucks says when you get up early AM--there will be one space left--between the curb in front of you and the Prime wagon--and they will be 2 deep--good thing that driveway is to your left--LOL
