Food service is where the money is, I was with MBM for over 9 years and making 80K a year. I left because they screwed me over big time and I was not going to allow them to do it to me again. I have no problem telling people to work for this company as the people who screwed me are no longer there...

My LTL linehaul gig will pay me close to 75-80k in 3 years with the company maybe 85k depending if a longer run opens up. No unloading either, drop and hook. Some other companies like OLD Diminion if you are there for 3 yrs your making 80-100k plus on linehaul no dock or unloading drop and hook.

As a driver for US foods, our company will hire a driver with 1 year OTR experience or 6 months delivering food service, beer, milk, or soda. You don't NEED tons of experience. But experience is never going to hurt you.

I have been in the Tampa area for 2.5 weeks on vacation job hunting(we are relocating from Ar) I've applied with every ltl and food service company I can think of and have only got one call for an interview, I have 23 years exp. local and otr and a spotless record so don't say experience will get you a job.
