Well we managed to get the 2 picks on! Got the first pick on at 430pm , burned on over to the final and got checked in with ten minutes to spare. Got a door right away and was loaded and leaving 15 minutes later. Not going anywhere tonight though. Got a cracking headache and really couldnt get all that far tonight anyway seeing as I was on the book since early this morning doing the delivery, add in crossing the weigh station on the hill at Conejo and two picks with time stamped BOL's and not too much room to get creative. Will get an early start in the morning and first stop will be Peggy Sue's '50s Diner in Yermo. I've never stopped there but have wanted to check it out and what better time than when I have someone to enjoy it with !

Springfield MO... nope, not at the terminal. The house is beyond full, so I'm across the highway at the Kum 'n Go.

First week with new (old) truck. There's some things that need to be fixed, but not going to happen anytime soon. Nothing major, just the service-brake pedal will stick when you take your foot off. Doesn't allow the brakes to fully release, so I keep spraying it down with PB Blaster, which puts off a nice aroma that I get to smell for the rest of the day. The headlights are so pitted and oxidized they are dim, there's no cargo lights. The new seat, which is nice, will smack my bucket controls. Turned in a shop request, but was told when I got in Friday afternoon around 4:45 pm (they quit at 5, or 4 or 3), they have the other "new" trucks to get out. They didn't bother doing anything other than putting in the new seat before handing it off to me. Oh well... The previous driver of this truck, new about the brake pedal sticking, and has told the shop about it. Oh and one more thing, there's water on the floor, driver's side. Don't know where it's coming from.
This past week, hauled dust to OK twice, once to Perkins, once to OKC. Then hauled fertilizer to Colby, back to Lyons for salt to KCMO. When I lowered my bed from dumping in KCMO, the little airbag for the trailer, not one of the big bags by the tires, ruptured. So had to run over to KC Peterbilt / Utility Trailers to have it replaced. Took 4 hrs, they didn't have one, but didn't say that until they had the old one off.
Once that was fixed, went to the Bonner Springs Caves, loaded salt took to Lee's Summit. Then bounced to Ottawa, KS, loaded rock took it to Great Bend, and bounced home.
I'll be headed out real early Monday like 1am again to haul dust back to Perkins, OK.teddy_bear6506 Thanks this. -
