I don't get bump the dock pay as I am still under the LinkAmerica pay.
I just don't understand the planners logic. You sit me for 2 days in the NE because their is "no freight", but you give me a short load that is supposedly getting me to a better freight area but it still keeps me in the NE,, the same area that has "no freight". They knew on Thursday my truck was heading this way, why wouldn't they start trying to book freight then?
Meanwhile, one of my students was deadhead 960 miles from Denver to Neelys Landing, MO for a load....
I'm not one to dwell in the past, but atleast at Link, they weren't afraid to deadhead a truck. There was no weekend layover, you were going to be deadheading to the closest load. Ive had dozens of 400+ mile deadheads and a 600+.

The piss-poor performing planners is my biggest concern with going back. Maybe Mr Smith (Sr or Jr) needs to play "Agent Smith" with his planners and either they get the job done or cut 'em loose. Or, put them on a performance-based compensation plan that would hurt them in the wallet/purse like they hurt our $$ with their lousy performance.
Ultimately, it comes down to leadership, or lack of. -
So that no freight area I just sat in for 2 days. Just got a whopping 88 mile preplan going right back to that no freight area.

Just came from Denver. Looks like we are into Coors now. I hadn't hauled Coors since it was shipped COLD.... Now at USX Olive Branch until Kroger del at 1700.
