Walked away with three warnings. One for my GPS holder which was mounted too high, a bullseye on my windshield which was his probable cause to stop me and minor chafing on the trailer brake hoses which the Texas cops love to write up. Complimented me on my logs and said that my truck was pretty clean compared to the truck he stopped earlier with 11 violations with 5 being OOS violations. The worst he said was 7 of the trailer tires were bald.

How high is your GPS holder? I have mine at the top of the window and all it blocks is the underside of my sun visor.

He let you go with a warning with 7 bald trailer tires?

Warnings from DOT inspections carry CSA points on them.

You can't. If they mention the warning your better off saying give me a citation.

Not me the worst truck he'd inspected that day. Well the only one that was my fault was the GPS holder. since the chafing is in the eye of the beholder (I didn't see any) and my bosses felt the bullseye was high enough not to be a violation when I reported it. Gonna be smug about that one.

Highway patrol in a Tahoe. On 20 at the 450 yard stick. I knew he was fishing when he slowed down beside me.

local guys get nailed for the gps alot around here...better off making some velcro strips and putting it somewhere on the dash if you can. My friend who is a state trooper was telling me the amount of crap they can nail you for..Lol I havent really talked to him much since then..just makes me angry..Most ticket writing is such a scam.
