These guys didn't plan their break and ran out of minutes on their e-log's "till break" countdown timer. They told me they were trying to make it to the truck stop 3 miles down the road. They didn't make it and that driver just parked it right in the go lane at this rest area I'm at.
Don't let this happen to you...

Trip planning 100% will never be possible. What if there was no where to park between the last truckstop 67 miles back and the next rest area? A driver should not have to force a stop prior to his hours running out and cost himself miles or money. The carrier should be fined a few thousand dollars for "shutting" the truck down when time is up like this.

proper planning and always plan for murphy's law and this wont happen.
