One interesting note. The place I'm picking up from in Nashville is directly across from THE Gibson guitar manufacturer. Not that impressive of a building for a company that makes such a quality product...if another driver hadn't pointed it out, I would never have known. I pictured the Gibson plant to be this big glamorous Taj Mahal like place.

Argggghhhhhhh!!! The load I picked up said 38,400 lbs. Scaled it out. 80980 lbs. Someone screwed up big time. I am approaching a 90% problem rate on loads. This has to be one of the levels of purgatory and I'm doing time before I go to heaven.

So true. I didn't think the new rules would really hinder me but I was wrong. The 30 minute 'break' has often been an exhausting hassle that only contributes to fatigue. When I can't time it to hit a rest area, I'll go to a truck stop. By the time I get parked I've literally had to run inside if I wanted to do anything or just remain in the truck nonsensically (only extending my day). Another time I tried to combine it with my fuel stop at a chaotic, jammed Pilot. After I fueled I just had to circle around and wait in the fuel line again just to kill the remaking minutes. That is the opposite of relaxing.

I finally got out of my shipper for the 2nd time. When I walked in with a CAT scale ticket and the words "I have a problem", they tried every thing they could think of to try not to have to take the blame...including asking if I tried sliding my tandems...ummmm, I'm a 1000 lbs over gross, we can slide all day long, it won't lose weight. Then they thought we were allowed 82,000 lbs. Nope 80;000 in some states, 80400 in others because of the "no-idle " exemption. And TN is one of the former, not the latter. Finally, they put me in a door and pulled a pallet of each product and weighed it. It turns out, their new computer system had the wrong weights of each box of product...each pallet was 180 lbs off(and I had 57 pallets). I had almost 48,000 lbs of stuff. So they pulled 2 pallets off, and reworked it so everything was balanced...and now I'm 79,280...and perfectly balanced on my tandems. Honestly, I think this heavy load makes my truck pull better. I actually almost had to pass someone going up Monteagle. And down, I let her scream and Mr. Jake did a fine job holding me back as long as I kept the rev's over 1900.

I swear, I've never seen any higher level of disorganized incompetence in my life. I get to my delivery exactly when I say...the shipper wants the receiver to live unload...the receiver says drop at a door, we'll unload you, but we need Crete's emptys bad. So I message op's...and have been messaging them every 5 minutes for the last hour and fifteen minutes and get NOTHING. This is the worst organized incompetent company I have ever seen.

Hey guys. Is it possible to change your hometime location without changing your address. I sent a message to my FM but no response yet. It looks like it is going to be a hassle to establish residence and transfer CDL and Hazmat to Utah from VA.
