SmokinBoles, it's my understanding that we will be in a classroom/range/local route type setting for 8 days. Then we go over the road with a trainer for up to 13 days. Then you take an open book and a driving test. If you pass both, they issue you your own truck. You go OTR for 6 weeks by yourself. Then you start your normal schedule. (In your case the 7/7).
What to expect when sent out with a trainer after orientation?

That's right if you already have your CDL. In my case I will be there for 17 days then out with a trainer for up to 13 days. Take the open book written and CDL test with Roehl and then out for 6 weeks on my own full time OTR. After that I will be transferred to my regular fleet.

OK. Definitely easier for me once I get there.

This post is so I can start pming people!!

Do they still do the hair follicle test if so how long do they go back.
-
Yes they do and they go back 90 days but can go back much further. They actually will do both tests on you. Nothing to worry about of course. Just be sure to be 100% honest and disclose all meds etc.

OK thanks for the info.

Just found out I can't go with Roehl at this point. I will be there someday though!

I just completed trucking school on 7/12/2013 and finally got my CDL. I start orientation with ROEHL Monday 7/22/2013 at there Stocbridge Ga, location. Anybody else here that will be starting there with me? Also was wanting to here from anyone who has recently completed the orientation who can help with what to expect and what they want us to do with the rental car after we get there Sunday. Thanks.

Where did you do your training? I graduated from the TN Truck driving school on 7/12 and just got an offer of employment from Roehl this morning.
