I've been hearing a lot bout these EOBRs. What's the deal with them? Ain't that like always keeping an eye on drivers even tho some drivers need them.

elcetronic onboard recorders another name for e-logs

I believe the EOBR is a more in-depth recorder than just plain ELOGs but i could be wrong. Congress turned it down though. Read the trucker reports you get from this website in your email.

Gotta love em.

You don't have a clue. EOBR's report a driver's speed and location every minute as well as when cruise control is used and when brakes are applied hard.
-
I read it some of it I was just trying to understand what they are
-
Thanks RickG I kinda figured I read the stuff wrong I was thinkin like a video recorder to show how the driver drives.

Usually refers to electronic logs. We find they save time on paper logging, but we team, solo drivers no longer have the ability to fudge their time.
ECMs have been downloadable for years, but now they can keep an eye on you at all times via satellite. Driver harassment is an issue they want to avoid, but it still doesn't prevent them from keeping track. After all, it is their equipment. -
Yet another EOBR thread. What are we up to now? 493,230 of the darn things???
At the top left corner of the page, there is a box marked "SEARCH." Try typing EOBR in it, and click the little box next to it.
volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
Explaining how to search on any of the threads is like
