No. Swift leases out there trailers to other companies ... come Christmas, you will see UPS pulling a ton of Swift trailers. ... Now that said, Swift does broker some power only loads, particularly on the container side ... all the large companies do it.

 

Back in my company driver days I pulled this trailer









out the gate and returned it to its slot lol, customer loaded on wrong trailer.

 

I know that there is a trailer that runs around and mostly out of Costco in Morris, Two company names on it, Swift Transportation and Navajo Pride

 

Navajo Pride is an ag company that we do a lot of business with out of New Mexico. Swift has cobranded some trailers for when we are moving their product for them.

 

A few weeks ago I pulled a Crete trailer from Walmart DC in Cullman AL to Memphis where it was a preplanned T-call. The starnge looks I got from everyone were priceless, including the shipping department (when the lady handed me the bills and said by the way its in a Crete trailer) and gaurd shack at Walmart (who stopped me 2 times before telling me I was good to leave with a Crete trailer), when I T-called the load the DM didn't believe me when I told her I had a Crete trailer she insisted it was a Walmart trailer??? I tried to tell her 3 times it was a Crete trailer then just agreed it was a Walmart trailer. All in all it was a unique experience.

Although I should have turned the CB on and stirred the pot about a ficticious merger between Swift and Crete each time I passed a Crete truck. That would have been truely entertaining.
